Remember MadLibs? They were good fun on long car trips, but also the tools of our elementary school teachers trying to pound into our brains the function and place of nouns, verbs and adjectives. To play MadLibs, one player (in this case it’s the Weekly), prompts the other player (in this case, our three nominees for Best Local Celebrity) to fill in the blanks in the statements. The results are nonsensical and strangely revealing at the same time.
The purpose of this particular exercise, however, is to PROVE to our readers how GREAT these local celebrities are and why they deserve a vote to be crowned Best Local Celebrity. They do tons of good works around town and it is their willingness to “play” that makes Marathon so much better.
