With the sun still high in the sky on a brilliant Key West evening, the Coffee Butler Amphitheater filled to capacity with crimson- and white-gowned graduates and their cheering sections.

Every parking space — and sidewalk — at Truman Waterfront Park was filled, and people got very creative when inventing their own place to park.

But the Class of 2021 graduation ceremony went off without a hitch as the sun sank over Key West Harbor.

Key West High School Principal Christina McPherson presided over her final graduation, as she will move to a new administrative position with the school district next year. The Key West class of about 275 graduates was the largest of the Keys’ three high schools.
