LIGHTED BIKE PARADE HITS THE STREETS OF KEY WEST

They came on two wheels, three, four and even roller skates for the 2021 BeLighted Bicycle Parade, sponsored by Wesley House Family Services.

The parade featured several hundred bicycles, all lighted, decorated and pedaled by folks and families in tutus, Santa costumes, reindeer antlers and everything in between.

Wesley House hosted a holiday village prior to the bike parade at Key West’s Coffee Butler Amphitheater. The bike ride departed the amphitheater at 8 p.m. Friday and headed up Duval Street.

"Local news is crucial," she says. "It informs and connects a community. It prompts conversation. It gets people involved, holds people accountable. The Keys Weekly takes its responsibility seriously. Our owners are raising families in Key West & Marathon. Our writers live in the communities we cover - Key West, Marathon & the Upper Keys. We respect our readers. We question our leaders. We believe in the Florida Keys community. And we like to have a good time."
