The tumor was removed successfully, but the biopsy revealed Stage 3 cancer called glioblastoma. Dunn, who is originally from Philadelphia, will start chemotherapy and radiation treatments soon.

Off the Hook will host a Tim Dunn Cancer-Fighting Fundraiser from 4 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26. A $20 donation at the door will help Dunn pay for cancer treatments, along with a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. The event will include live music, free food and a cash bar.

Other local businesses are planning events to help with Dunn’s medical costs.

Mary Ellen’s Bar & Restaurant, 420 Appelrouth Lane, will donate the proceeds from its weekly charity vibrator races to the Tim Dunn Fund on May 12. Bingo at The Green Parrot on May 30 will also benefit Dunn.
