Things got a little spooky at Crane Point Museum & Nature Center on Oct. 17 as families turned out for the annual Witches in the Hammock celebration. New for this year, a colorful Junkanoo parade heralded the family-favorite event’s arrival with a procession down Sombrero Beach Road, accompanied by a hay ride full of costumed characters, first responders and horses from Island Time Stables. Once inside, guests ventured from a game- and snack-filled courtyard down the haunted paths of Crane Point to find a groovy dancing witch coven by the Adderley House. From a lantern-lit walk and dancing witches around the fire pit to Halloween games and treats, there was plenty of fun for little ghosts and goblins of all ages.
