Florida Keys Film Commissioner Chad Newman joined the Key West Side Tracks podcast to talk about Hollywood’s long-term relationship with the Florida Keys.
Key West is the backdrop for the much-anticipated ‘Bad Monkey’ comedy series, based on Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 novel. As film commissioner, Newman worked with producers on securing locations — and finding enough hotel rooms for the cast and crew.
The 10-episode series starring Vince Vaughn and produced by Bill Lawrence (“Ted Lasso,” “Shrinking”) premieres Aug. 14 on Apple TV.
