KEY LARGO LIBRARY REOPENING MONDAYS FOLLOWING STAFF SHORTAGE

The Monroe County Public Library’s Key Largo branch will return to being open six days a week, starting on Monday, Sept. 11. 

The branch has been closed on Mondays since May because of a staffing shortage. Starting Sept. 11, it will be open until 8 p.m. on Mondays and close at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. 

The Library branch, at 101485 Overseas Highway in the Tradewinds Shopping Plaza, will be open Monday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Library books and DVDs are available 24/7 from the lending machine at the Murray Nelson Government & Cultural Center, 102500 Overseas Highway in Key Largo. There is also a pickup locker outside the Key Largo branch so patrons can request items to be held there and pick them up any time.
