A 46-year-old woman wanted for fentanyl and cocaine sales in Marathon was arrested on Sept. 13 after being extradited from Nebraska.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Jessica Melissa Borysiewicz faces a litany of charges including trafficking fentanyl, cocaine possession and sales, fleeing and eluding, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest among other violations.
Special operations detectives began investigating Borysiewicz in January 2025 for drug sales. She was arrested in June 2025 on drug-related charges, bonded out of jail and began selling drugs again. Detectives continued their investigation and obtained new warrants for her arrest.
The sheriff’s office attempted to arrest her again during a traffic stop on Ramrod Key in February 2026, but she fled and struck a deputy with her vehicle in the process. The deputy did not sustain life-threatening injuries. Borysiewicz eventually fled on foot, avoiding arrest at that time.
Additional warrants were obtained for her arrest stemming from that pursuit.
Borysiewicz was arrested by authorities in Scottsbluff County, Nebraska last month. She was extradited to Monroe County and booked into jail on Sept. 13
