Three Big Pine Key Winn-Dixie employees were arrested on July 30 for allegedly stealing from the business.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Gwendolyn Luvenia Carter, 68, of Big Pine Key, Arianna Garica Placeres, 27, of Miami, and Anyeline De La Caridad Pacheco Espinoza, 20, of Spring Hill are facing petit theft charges.
The three suspects were arrested after warrants were obtained for their arrest following a sheriff’s office investigation that began in June after the business reported the employees were scanning store items, voiding the transactions electronically and then keeping the items.
