KEY COLONY BEACH PREPS FOR STREETS OF GREEN IN ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Key Colony Beach is the place to be in the Middle Keys on Saint Patrick’s Day. The city will host its annual St. Paddy’s Day parade on Tuesday, March 17, beginning at 5 p.m. The parade will proceed along West Ocean Drive and East Ocean Drive from 15th Street to 1st Street, and back.

The Key Colony Beach Community Association invites new and returning participants in the parade, from walkers to bikers, golf carts, cars, boats and floats. Motorized vehicles should line up at 4 p.m. at the 15th Street circle, and walkers and bikers should arrive at Sunset Park by 4:30 p.m.

Parade participants are encouraged to toss candy, beads, bubbles and other prizes to kids and adults along the route. No partisan political statements are allowed in the parade.
