Key West attorney and business owner Michael Halpern hosted an informal, April 21 campaign gathering for County Commissioner Michelle Coldiron, who represents District 2, at his home on Shark Key.

District 2 includes Boca Chica Key through the 7 Mile Bridge, including the north side of U.S. 1 to 63rd Court in Marathon, according to the county website.

Coldiron, the incumbent Republican, is seeking reelection and is thus far unopposed.

Her official campaign kickoff party takes place at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at Boondocks Grille & Drafthouse on Ramrod Key at MM 27.Her campaign website, michelleformonroe.com, should be activated this week, she said.
