The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Key Largo man who allegedly was in possession of a large amount of marijuana, a handgun and $30,000 in cash.
On May 22, the sheriff’s office said that Raheim Christopher Lee Whitney, 29, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged on a warrant for cocaine sales.
More than 6 pounds of marijuana, a Glock handgun, 55 rounds of ammunition and approximately $30,000 in cash suspected to be from drug sales were found at his residence on Jenny Lane.
The sheriff’s office said Whiteny was arrested in 2017 for robbing a Dairy Queen in Tavernier.
